PARADE
DOWNLOAD a PARADE APPLICATION HERE. Theme: The 2008 Kentuckiana Pride Festival theme is: "Got Pride?" Information: The parade will step off on Friday June 20th, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. All late entries (after June 13th) will be placed at the end of the parade line-up. Parade Representatives: The Kentuckiana Pride Festival is requesting that each group designate one person as their "parade representative". This person will be the primary contact and must be available to assist the parade marshals. The parade representative will help with coordination of vehicle/group setup and controlling the flow of their float/group during the parade. Parade representatives will report to parade check-in for entry verification on June 20th at 6:30 p.m. Marchers: There is no fee to march in the parade, however you must register to be in the line-up. K9 Pride Parade: We encourage you bring your family. We have a K9 (dog) Pride portion of the parade. There is no fee, however you must register, using the K9 application, to be in the line up. We ask you arrive and sign in by 7p.m. Floats: The Kentuckiana Pride Festival Committee would like to encourage groups to showcase their organizations/businesses through a float. It is the one time of the year you can promote yourselves in front of the entire community. You may be surprised at the interest and excitement an entry in the Pride Parade can give to your organization. All participants are responsible for independently obtaining applicable insurance for each float or vehicle entered. All cars and vehicles must be registered as floats. A vehicle pulling a float is considered (1) float. Awards: Business
and Non-profit organization floats will be judged based on the following
criteria: K9 Pride: Dress up your dog to show his/her PRIDE. They will be judged on the same criteria as floats. Your pet is welcome during Friday Night Fest (following the parade), but are not permitted during the Festival on Saturday. Both Float & K9 winners will receive $100.00 each. The awards are paid in the form of a check.
